Hiram College Bulldog Terrier Cartoon Character
The cartoon mascot illustration for Hiram College (the Hiram College Terriers) was commissioned by the Hiram College art director as part of an image makeover for the team. The university wanted a more aggressive egde to their sports programs, as well as an illustrated mascot to use in promotional materials, apparel and other branded merchandise.
Hiram College has had the bulldog as thier mascot for some time, but no artwork for the pup. After working on multiple variations for the mascot illustration, the art director & I settled on a design which was completed as digital vector art in Adobe Illustrator. The bulldog (technically an English Bull Terrier) chosen was the best blend between fun and gung-ho.
