Race Car Cartoon Character
Race car character mascot
This race car cartoon character mascot was created for an orthodontist looking to create a promotional campaign to help his younger patients get excited — or at least comfortable with — the idea of getting their braces.
The orthodontist came up with the concept "Race For Braces" to play into the fact that they are located in Indiana, and the famous Indianapolis 500 as well as NASCAR.
The project was relatively straightforward as far as needing a cartoon-style race car with a big smile wearing braces. However it was challenging to add a big smile to the car while keeping it looking like a car.
One of the fun parts of the project was creating fake decals with logos that looked like actual automotive product logos and insignias. Hence the "2N" logo (instead of 3M). And of course the tires are made not by GoodYear, but by "AwesomeDecade"!
