That Little White Triangle In The Corner: Global Process Color Swatches In Adobe Illustrator

I thought global colors in Illustrator were something everybody knew about, but perhaps not. Doesn’t anyone read the manuals for their software?

James Dempsey over at The Graphic Mac just posted a brief overview of the global process color swatches in Adobe Illustrator.

What I found more enlightening however, was a user comment that only global colors will appear in the Swatches palette when pasting into another Illustrator document, and only global colors will appear in the Swatches palette when placing an Illustrator file into an InDesign document. Those two features themselves are reason enough to be aware of and use global color swatches.
