Arrrrrggggghhhhhh!!!!!!
You just fine tuned a custom action in Photoshop to, say, convert an image to CMYK, resize without resampling to 300 dpi and save as a .psd file, to like, save a bunch of time.
Then, to your dismay, Photoshop crashes because of the 7,492 Dashboard Widgets and shareware doodads you have running simultaneously (even though you know better).
And your custom Action is GONE.

Very soon, Sal Canzonieri of the band Electric Frankenstein will be publishing a massive concert poster/rock art book, and a piece of mine created specifically for the tome will be included. Very cool stuff! Due out fall/winter 2006.
Check out the blurb Dark Horse Books is using to promote (via one of Sal’s posts on GigPosters.com)…
I was recently turned on to this illustrator Chris Bishop‘s work by my friend Todd. Fun, chunky & bright colors.
This guy’s work was a nice helping hand for Todd as far as chiseling away the erroneous notion that your work “needs” to be “better” than what comes naturally and what you enjoy doing. We had a long discussion over some food the other night about this phenomenon that he & I both share. For years I struggled with the idea that the artwork I produced needed to be more than the fun cartoon stuff I love to create, something serious, something ‘heavy’.

Just a quick doodle I did while I should have been doing something more productive, I’m sure. Maybe I just wanted to draw a fez. I can’t recall which came first – the fez or the “Eye in the Pyramid” coin. Continue reading
I guess these concepts/designs violated some sort of copyright thing.
The first, one of my corny pun t-shirt ideas, Fat Albert Einstein.
The design, with of course, “Hey Hey Hey! E=mc2“:

Next up, my Nike parody. Aren’t parodies covered under copyright law? I’m sure CafePress “reserves the right” blah blah blah…
For us lazy cynics out there, a proper alternative to the “Just Do It” slogan – “The Hell With It.”
…intimidating, but exciting.
So what’s this all about? Well, it seems you almost HAVE to have a blog nowadays, at least for the next few months before something else gets popular. I guess it better than having to have a MySpace account. Can’t hurt in Google ranking either.
I’ll be posting some random artwork, mostly stuff not found on my cartoon illustration portfolio site, and hopefully this will contain all new artwork & sketches, like this cool zombie I need to finish:
I’m just setting this up, so that’s all for now.

All my gadget RSS feeds are a-buzz with the news that the PEZ MP3 player is finally available, and the logo was designed by me. I’m partially, non-credited famous! Yow!
The guy who created this officially licensed PEZ MP3 player — which is actually a real PEZ dispenser that has an MP3 player inside — is a stay at home dad, and a nice guy as well. He started the project up as a hobby, and from internet buzz he started thinking, “What if…” and today it’s a reality.
