The “Rat Strat” logo featuring a rat in a porkpie hat holding a weathered, vintage electric guitar (a Stratocaster of course!) was created for a client with a passion for both electric guitars and antiques/collectibles.

Client directions were simple: since the company name was “Rat Strat”, we had to have a rat, and a Strat. The porkpie hat was also requested, as was the style of amp used in the logo.

The weathering on the guitar was created using Illustrator “charcoal” brushes.

A few variations of the logo were also created, incorporating the URL in both horizontal and vertical formats.
